The round table will be held within the framework of the discussion program of the Congress “Astana Mining & Metallurgy – 2017”. The discussion program of AMM is annually drawn up taking into account the industry’s needs in the development of professional recommendations on urgent issues. But the Congress 2017, as a precursor of the World Mining Congress, initiates landmark final discussions on multi-year programs. This is the membership in the OECD Steel Committee, and the conceptual issues of the draft Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Subsoil and Subsoil Use”, industrial safety at mining enterprises in the context of the introduction of operational production management systems, in-depth analysis of big data and the introduction of additive technologies in enterprises and training engineering and technical staff for these technologies.
Also within the framework of the discussion program there will be the specialized round table “Days of the MMC of Australia in Kazakhstan”, in which Mr. Peter Tesch, the Australian Ambassador to Russia, Kazakhstan and the CIS, Richard Lazer, Australia’s Chief Trade Representative in Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, the representatives of the Ministry of Investments and Development, the Australian and Kazakhstan MMC companies and the delegation from the Mining Department of the University of New South Wales will take part. Strong evidence of Australia’s success in the context of all mining affairs has meant that the economic cooperation of the two countries was enhanced by the exchange of experience at the level of state regulation - the Australian legislative model was adopted as a starting point in the development of a new Subsoil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the upcoming May meeting is to further develop cooperation between Kazakhstan and Australia in the sphere of geological prospecting for the extraction of solid natural resources.
The program discussions, memoranda and agreements of VIII International “Astana Mining & Metallurgy Congress& Expo” - AMM-2017 promise to become a turning point in terms of the development of international industry relations and prepare Astana for hosting the World Mining Congress.
