Establishing a leading position by focusing on human resources

The afternoon of 5 July will see two round tables take place as part of the Kazakhstan Mining and Metallurgy Days. The Innovations for the Mining and Metallurgy Sector and HR for the Mining and Metallurgy Sector events will be held in the Palace of Independence in Astana, and they are both open to visitors of the Kazakhstan Mining and Metallurgy Days.

The Innovations for the Mining and Metallurgy Sector round table will be divided into session entitled ‘Innovation: From Creation to Implementation’. The event will feature presentations from the Centre along with many more companies and organisations.

The ‘HR for the Mining and Metallurgy Sector’ round table aims to give an overview of the whole HR system and make recommendations to the working groups that are developing the National Qualifications System for Kazakhstan. Also among its objectives is to develop this system in harmony with the standards brought in by the Sector Council on HR for the Mining and Metallurgy Industry. The programme has been developed by Human Capital Lead, and industry experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, the UK, and Kyrgyzstan will be among the speakers.

The Kazakhstan Mining & Metallurgy Days have been organised by the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The 3rd Congress of Workers of the Mining and Metallurgy Industry in Kazakhstan is organised by the Association of Mining and Metallurgy Enterprises of Kazakhstan in partnership with the Union of Workers of the Mining and Metallurgical Industry.

Astana Mining and Metallurgy is organised by Iteca and ITE Group plc, and is officially supported by the Astana City Administration, Tau-Ken Samruk, the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund, and the National Centre for Complex Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
