More than 1200 delegates from 20 countries worldwide have participated in Kazakhstan Mining and Metallurgy Days

The Days of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex (MMC) of Kazakhstan are taken place in Astana, where more than 1200 delegates from 176 companies have taken part. The delegates geography seizes 20 countries.

25 speakers from 7 countries: Kazakhstan, Russia, Great Britain, Germany, France, China and Turkey have presented their reports at the IV International Congress "Astana Mining & Metallurgy" (АММ 2013). The АММ 2013 (June 12th) Congress' topic: "The MMS technological growth prospects against the background of an unstable global economy".

"Today almost 300 thousand people are engaged in the mining and metallurgical industry, for this reason within the frame of the National Program of forced industrial and innovative development of the Republic of Kazakhstan the State pays great attention to this sector. It is planned to startup additional 20 new manufactures under this program which will result in creation of 10 thousand qualitative permanent workplaces", - Asset Issekeshev– the Deputy Prime-Minister, the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of RK, said speaking at the opening of the IV International Congress "Astana Mining & Metallurgy".

The intensive workis planned for today, June 13: three Round tables and the First conference on the ferrous and non-ferrous scrap will be held.

The results of the "Golden Hephaestus" National Industrial competition, which purpose is the recognition of the companies and specialists in the MMS for the expired year are drawn up. Please, see the next release for detailed information.

With in the frame work of the Industrialization Map there are 78 projects implemented in the mining and metallurgical complex for a total amount of 1 trillion 830 million KZT, which created more than 33 thousand workplaces for the construction period and more than 29 thousand workplaces during the operation.

It is to be recalled that the Principal organiser of the Kazakhstan Mining and Metallurgy Days is the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of RK. The Organizer of the Congress of the Workers of Mining and Metallurgical Complex is the National Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises(AGMP) in partnership with the Trade Union of workers in Mining and Metallurgical Complex. The Kazakhstan Exhibitions Company Iteca together with its international partner, ITE Group Plc (Great Britain) acts as the AMM Congress Organizer. The official support is provided by: Astana city Administration, Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund, Tau-Ken Samruk JSC,and National Centre of Complex Processing of Mineral Raw Materials.
