Kazakhstan holds about 8 thousand subsoil deposits

To date, the state balance in Kazakhstan accounts for about 8 thousand underground deposits. This was announced by Timur Toktabaev, the Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan.

“For 27 years, the reserves of 133 deposits of hydrocarbon raw materials, more than 200 deposits of gold, non-ferrous and ferrous metals and other types of similar minerals were first put on the state balance for the first time. More than 10 modern mining and metallurgical industries were commissioned on the basis of proven reserves of the Vasilkovskoye, Sekisovskoye, Varvarinskoye and others deposits,” Timur Toktabaev said, speaking at a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Geologist.

The Vice-Minister added that over the years of independence, the Bozshakol and Aktogay deposits were involved in the development of the Kashagan, Kayran, Kalamkas, Aktoty, and Khazar hydrocarbon deposits.
