German company to start gold processing in Kazakhstan

Two projects for the production of gold will be implemented in Zhambyl region until 2021, the regional department of natural resources and environmental management told.

A mining and smelting plant is being built in the region and gold ore deposits are being developed. The cost of this project is estimated at 45 trillion tenge. A subsidiary of the German company Aurum Deutschland is implementing the project. The company plans to launch in 2021.

Also in Zhambyl region, Alatau-Kordai is building a mini-plant for 16.95 billion tenge. The enterprise will process and enrich gold-bearing ore to concentrate with 75% gold and silver content. Production will start in 2021.

The department also added that in 2015, a gold-processing ore processing factory for 3 billion tenge started operating in the region.

Aurum Deutschland AG is a mining and commodity company that specialises in the development and mining of gold, copper and polymetallic deposits in Kazakhstan. The company has a representative office in Kazakhstan.
