Innovations in Slope and Mine Safety: Geobrugg Solutions at AMM 2025
“Safety is in our nature.” Staying true to this guiding principle, Geobrugg has been developing and manufacturing protection systems since 1951. The company’s high-tensile steel wire meshes and related services are designed to monitor and mitigate natural hazards such as rockfalls, landslides, debris flows, avalanches, and coastal erosion. These solutions enhance safety in the mining and tunneling industries, as well as on motorsport tracks, industrial sites, and test facilities.
With decades of experience, a spirit of innovation, continuous internal development, and close collaboration with research institutions, Geobrugg advances both technical innovation and industry standards. Over 300 specialists work for Geobrugg worldwide. Its manufacturing facilities across all continents and presence in more than 50 countries ensure proximity to clients and fast, efficient project delivery — from site assessment to final implementation. The company is headquartered in Romanshorn, Switzerland.
Since 2024, Altynalmas has been using Geobrugg MINAX 80/3 high-tensile wire mesh rockfall barriers at its Pustynnoye mine, significantly improving operational safety. Additionally, TECCO G65/4 mesh is being used for active slope stabilization at the Vasilkovskoye mine operated by Altyntau Kokshetau.
At AMM 2025, taking place on June 4–5 in Astana, Geobrugg (represented in Kazakhstan by Geostein LLP) will offer expert consultations at its stand. Topics will include slope stabilization, rockfall protection, and dynamic rock support systems for underground mines operating under complex conditions.
