ERG in Irtysh intends to sponsor social projects worth 3 billion tenge

Last year, thanks to the financial support of patrons, a number of social and infrastructure projects were implemented, including the construction of a 50-metre Olympic-style swimming pool, the cable car on Myrzashoky Mountain, the construction of the museum exhibition hall in Pavlodar is continuing, the reconstruction of the embankment in Aksu is being completed.

ERG and administration of Pavlodar region signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation in the implementation of socially significant projects for 2019.

The head of the region met with the chairman of the board of directors of the ERG group of companies Alexander Mashkevich, and discussed issues of public-private partnership. The Eurasian Group is one of the largest companies in the country and the world, which occupies a third of the country's mining and metallurgical sector. The system-forming enterprise of the region, which is part of a large company, makes a significant contribution to the development of industrial potential and provides employment for 22,500 people only in the Pavlodar region,” the head of the region, Bulat Bakauov, said.

The amount allocated under the memorandum in 2019 amounted to 3 billion tenge. It will be directed to the construction and repair of socially significant objects, such as repair of the region’s roads, installation of street lighting, construction of courtyard sports grounds, a football arena in Pavlodar.

The region is building two hostels with 200 places for the Aksu College of Ferrous Metallurgy and the Interregional Training Centre in Ekibastuz. Part of the funds will be directed to strengthening the material and technical base of Pavlodar College of Nonferrous Metallurgy and Aksu College of Ferrous Metallurgy.

Head of the region expressed gratitude to the management of the corporation for support and noted the indicator of high social responsibility of the ERG.
