The Kazakhstan Mining and Metallurgy Days event, launched this year, will take place in Astana’s Palace of Independence from 4 to 6 July 2012.

The concept behind the event is to support Government policies aiming to increase the level of competitive exports from Kazakhstan, create high value-added products, and train the personnel who will help to move Kazakhstan’s mining and metallurgy industry forward.

In his welcome letter to the exhibitors of the Astana Mining and Metallurgy Congress 2012, taking place within the Kazakhstan Mining and Metallurgy Days, Aset Isekeshev, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan, underlined the importance of the event: “The event is a key element of the mining and metallurgy industry in Kazakhstan, with both the Congress of Workers of the Mining and Metallurgy Industry and the Astana Mining and Metallurgy Congress taking place within it. I hope that this large-scale event will continue to promote innovation, shape HR policy in the mining industry, and develop interaction between companies and associations from different countries, and also that it will have a positive effect on innovation and development in Kazakhstan.”
