ON JUNE 4, 2025, A PANEL SESSION TITLED “NEW TECHNOLOGIES, EXPERTISE, AND MODERN SOLUTIONS – ALL IN ONE: CANADA’S BEST FOR KAZAKHSTAN’S MINING SECTOR” WAS HELD IN ASTANA AS PART OF THE 15TH INTERNATIONAL METALLURGISTS’ CONGRESS

THE SESSION WAS ORGANIZED WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN IN CANADA.

As part of the event, members of the Canadian business mission — representing leading companies in mining, engineering, digital technologies, and sustainability — presented their capabilities and best practices.

The session was officially opened by Mr. Nariman Absametov, Chairman of the Board of Tau-Ken Samruk JSC, who emphasized the importance of integrating international technological solutions into the development of Kazakhstan’s mining sector.

The session attracted strong interest from Congress participants, including representatives of Kazakhstani companies, government agencies, and international partners. During the discussions, successful Canadian case studies were showcased, and opportunities for implementing joint projects were highlighted.

At the conclusion of the session, both sides expressed mutual interest in expanding bilateral cooperation in the mining and metallurgical sector.
