Certainly “green technology” is the technology of the future, which prevents or minimizes the negative impact on the environment. In one way or another, the topics of the roundtables, special, strategy and panel sessions will touch on the green growth agenda. The transition to a green and low-carbon economy, which is necessary to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals on responsible consumption and production (SDG 12) and actions to control climate change (SDG 13), among others, could affect the future demand and business models of extractive and heavy industries such as oil and gas, mining, steel and cement, as well as their innovation and fiscal implications.

The topic of this year’s Plenary Session is also dedicated to the currently relevant discussion of sustainable models of company development on the way to decarbonization of production. There will also be many new formats of discussions on the following topics at AMM 2023:

  • Decarbonization of industry and green technologies;
  • Improvement of legislation in the MMC;

  • Inspiring and informative leader stories to learn from;
  • The best solutions in AMM Tech’s Innovation, Technology and Big Ideas section.

There will be a special session for GR-specialists on using environmental and socio-economic challenges as points of growth, turning them from risks to opportunities for development.

For the first time there will be a specialized session with veterans of the MMC industry, where honored workers in a warm friendly atmosphere will share with the younger generation the secrets of their long and fruitful work. This event, which emphasizes the connection and continuity of generations, will increase the importance of the industry’s professions to young professionals.

Traditionally, with the support of the DRAGMET Association, the III Forum of Gold Producers of Kazakhstan will be held during the Congress on June 2. The Kazakhstan ESG Club will hold a panel session presenting the best examples of social responsibility through the prism of sustainable development.
