Shubarkol Komir of ERG invests over 800 million tenge in new equipment

Shubarkol Komir, part of the Eurasian Group, has acquired a modern excavator worth more than 833 million tenge.

"Hitachi's EX1900-6 (LD) high power hydraulic excavator works well for mining quarries and for intensive large-scale land work. Operator comfort and excellent performance are all implemented in this model through the use of the latest engineering developments. High capacity together with large working volumes give the highest productivity of mining and loading,” the group’s press service said.

A new excavator replaces the old ECG machines. New technology replaces two units of the old. The purchase of new equipment was carried out as part of the investment program of Shubarkol Komir. Until the end of 2019, it is planned to purchase another excavator, EX1900-6 (LD).

Shubarkol Komir is an opencast coal mining company that is part of ERG. The company also produces special coke and electricity from coke oven gas. In 2018, the company produced 11.56 million tonnes of coal; in 2019, it plans to produce 13.72 million tonnes of coal. ERG is a large international company, which operates in the fields of mining, processing, energy, logistics, and marketing.

ERG assets in Kazakhstan include Kazchrome, Aluminium of Kazakhstan, SSGPO, Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant, Eurasian Energy Corporation, Shubarkol Komir, TransKom transport group.
