Kazakhstan’s mining industry to be supervised by “transparent” authority

The mining industry of Kazakhstan will be transferred to a "transparent" production, said the Minister of Information and Communications Dauren Abayev at a meeting of the Government of Kazakhstan.

"In the mining industry, a transition process regarding its 102 enterprises to the level of "transparent" production has been launched. This implies the digitization of all production data and the management of information flows," said the minister.

According to Abayev, today 4 projects have already been commissioned. In these enterprises, productivity has been increased by 10%, labor costs have been reduced by 30%, and production costs have been reduced by 10%.

"As a result of the introduction of the resource planning information system, the enterprises now work with a single, holistic and structured data set; business processes are standardized and transparent. Employees were trained, 250 new jobs were additionally created," the minister added.
