Introduced to the market in 2012 by STM, the VRMmill™ and VPMmill™ technology is a globally recognized solution for the mineral processing industry. The technology has proven its economic benefits over alternative stirred milling solutions. These technologies are specifically designed for energy-efficient grinding across various applications, including fine/ultrafine/regrind/tertiary (VRMmill™), and primary/secondary (VPMmill™) grinding, providing significant advantages and offering a comprehensive solution for mineral processing operations.

Extending STM’s Large Vertical Stirred Mill Portfolio to presented 12.5 MW: STM offers a range of large, vertical stirred mills (VRMmill™ and VPM™ technologies) with bottom feed, hanging shaft assembly, and open-to-air discharge, reducing static and dynamic loads and allowing for simpler structural and mechanical designs. Leveraging variable-speed drive technology and multi-drive drive systems, STM has developed the largest stirred mill in the market, boasting a 75,000-liter capacity and 12,500 kW installed power.

The VRM 75000 mill can be equipped with a range of drive trains from 7700 kW to 12500 kW, making it by far the biggest stirred mill on the market. Its unprecedented capacity for a single unit contributes to significant reductions in both capital and operational costs.
