Eurasian Resources Group and Karaganda region provide funding for socially significant projects in the region

ERG logo 260Eurasian Resources Group and administration of the Karaganda region concluded a memorandum of mutual cooperation in the implementation of socially significant projects for 2020. The memorandum was signed by ERG First Deputy Chief Executive Officer Aldiyar Kaztayev and Governor of Karaganda Region Zhenis Kasymbek.

In 2020, ERG will allocate more than 843 million tenge to maintain and develop the social sphere of the region. Of these, 600 million will be allocated for the construction of a table tennis center in Karaganda. The implementation of this project is designed for two years, 2020-2021. Funds were also allocated for the repair of Rynochnaya Street in the regional center, the maintenance of the boiler room in the Shubarkol settlement, the improvement and repair of schools in Karaganda and the Shubarkol settlement, and the purchase of STEM equipment for the Shubarkol secondary school.

In addition, in support of the region, ERG will allocate over 3,000 tonnes of coal for residents of the Kyzylzhar village and low-income residents of the Shubarkol village. The memorandum contains not only ERG initiatives aimed at the development of regions but also includes socially significant projects of the administration of the Karaganda region, which will be implemented at the expense of the local budget in accordance with the legislation of Kazakhstan. These are such vital projects for ERG employees as the average repair of the Nur-Sultan-Kurgaldzhino-Barshino-Shubarkol-Kyzylzhar automobile road, the Zhanaarka district roads, the ongoing repair of culverts on the Picket-Sonaly-Isende and intra-village roads of the regional significance.

In addition, the funds will be used to improve the village of Shubarkol. “ERG is always very serious about investing in improving the quality of life of people in the region, developing infrastructure, culture, and sports. We are grateful to the Administration for the opportunity to make the life of our hometowns better and more comfortable. By joint efforts this year we will continue the improvement of the village of Shubarkol, in which our employees also live. We hope that the most pressing problems in the area will be solved, including repair of roads, residential buildings, pipelines,” Alexander Mashkevich, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eurasian Resources Group said.
