Gold production in Kazakhstan increases

In January-April 2019, the production of precious and non-ferrous metals in Kazakhstan amounted to 976.8 billion tenge.

This figure has increased by 6.8% in comparison with the same period of 2018.

According to the statistics committee, for 4 months, 318.4 thousand kg of raw and semi-processed silver were produced in the country, with a decrease by 4.7%, and 31 thousand kg of raw gold, with an increase by 7.9%.

In addition, 528.7 thousand tonnes of untreated aluminum were produced, with a decrease of 9.1%, and 45.1 thousand tonnes of untreated lead, with a decrease of 12.5%.

The output of unprocessed zinc decreased by 1.5% to 108.2 thousand tonnes, and refined copper increased by 8.8% to 149.5 thousand tonnes.
